BlueCespitulariais an iconic soft coral which was quasi unobtainable for the better part of the last decade of reefing. Following the opening of more locations to coral collections and expanded list of species which are collected for the aquarium trade, in the last two years the availability ofCespitularia从野外和珊瑚繁殖者那里有显着增加。在新的Cespit的早期,ORAmust have settled on the strain they most wanted to propagate because today they are announcing the availability of their captive grown frags of blueCespitularia. ORA describes their blue Cespitularia strain as having “sparkly turquoise body and peachy-orange polyps.
This variety differs from the African variety which has a darker blue and purple coloration” and their experiences with it seem to indicate best color is achieved under intermediate lighting intensity and the Blue Cespit appreciates moderate to strong flow for best growth. ORA’s blueCespitulariawill start trickling out to select ORA retailers over the coming weeks and we don’t expect it will cost any more than any other of ORA’s newly released coral strains.
