BioAQUA Marine is very unique among aquarium products because it is made from Okara (Soy Pulp) which in Japan is widely regarded as a healthy food item. The Okara from which the BioAQUA Marine is made is low in fat, high in fiber, and also contains protein, calcium, iron, and riboflavin and the package of BioAqua says that it contains 12 different types of amino acid. The concept of this product is to feed BioAqua to fish, to fix the balance of bacteria in fish’s digestive organ and to make fish’s immune system stronger. Additionally, the use of BioAQUA Marine on a regular basis encourages fish excrement to have a balanced bacterial populations which is thought to reduce the occurrence of pathogenic bacteria. BioAQUA Marine by Biota Style costs around 1200JPY or about $14 but is currently a japan-only aquarium product.
