This is what 200 watts of LED actinic light looks like

A couple weeks ago I was part of an installation of 8 actinic LED striplights over the famous 1200 gallon reef tank in Evergreen Colorado. The reason these lamps had to be “installed” is because the only fixture to which we could attach the lights is a legion of Aquaspacelights but with the included brackets the Reefbrite strips were very easy to attach. Although we already wrote up a post on ourfirst impressionof these lamps over a different 3 feet deep reef, after installing 24 feet of these on a super slammin reef tank, I was blown away yet again. The color that popped out at the viewers of this reef when the Reefbrite actinic LED striplights were fired was simply amazing. The Reefbrite actinic LEDs are a whole lot more purple in color than you would expect from the more typical chilly-blue LED colors out there.
