Pseudanthias tequila是最新的种anthias描述了吗nd oh what a fairy basslet it is! This gorgeous little fish comes to us from the western Pacific Ocean, more specifically the Ogasawara Islands and the Marianas.
Also known as the Cave Anthias,Pseudanthias tequilais a gorgeous and classic looking small anthias species with an elongated body which is mostly pink, and some other adornments that are unique for this species. The cave anthias is closely related to classic small anthias such as randall’s and the yellowtail anthias, but is distinguished on the basis of some notable features.
Female cave anthias can appear quite similar to the yellowtail anthias, Pseudanthias flavicauda but one of the dead giveaways for the identity of a cave anthias is the bright yellow pelvic fins of the males. The cave anthias is a gorgeous new addition to the popularPseudanthiasgroup of fairy basslets and it is described by Gill, Tea & Senou in the most recent edition ofZooTaxa.
